What are the recent reports related to Skilled Occupations List Ceilings?

As per the new amendments, the Traffic Bulletin for the period between December 2019 and February 2020 was issued. This was introduced by the Department of Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business. 

However, the relevant changes will occur only if the Department of Home Affairs accepts the proposed alterations. These alterations will bring a significant change in the overall Skilled Occupations List.

Apart from these 20 occupations, there are over 180 occupations that are listed on the Skilled Occupations List (SOL).

Which immigration visa sub-classes require Skilled Occupations List?

In order to apply for this, the applicant’s name must appear in the occupation demand list of Australia. This can be independently done without any restrictions. It is known as Skilled Independent Subclass Visa

2) Visa 190 – This class of visa requires state or territorial sponsorships. The method of applying for this visa is as same as the Visa 189. It should be noted that this is a permanent residency class visa. This allows the applicant to stay and work in Australia permanently. It is referred to as the Skilled Nomination Subclass Visa.

3) Visa 491 – This division of visa is known as the Regional Subclass Visa. It is of a provisional nature that allows staying for a period of 5 years in the country. To obtain this class, it is mandatory to get sponsorship from a person who is already living in the country.
