What are the Australian business visa requirements?

1. Business Owner Visa (subclass 890)

 This Australian business visa allows you to do business in Australia and reside permanently.  Business Owner visa (subclass 890) is valid for 5 years. Those who are doing business on a temporary visa they can eligible to apply for a subclass 890 visa. These visa holders get benefits like other Australian citizens.           

Business Owner Visa Requirements:

  • Before applying for this visa should live in Australia for at least 1 to 2 years
  • Who are doing business in Australia for the last 2 years can continue with their business.
  • You should have a genuine commitment to do the business in Australia
  • You should not do any illegal business activates
  • You should have at least one temporary business visa below mentioned:-
    1. State/Territory Sponsored Investor visa (Provisional)- (subclass 165)
    2. State/Territory Sponsored Senior Executive visa (Provisional)-(subclass 164)
    3. State/Territory Sponsored Business Owner visa (Provisional)-(subclass 163)
    4. Investor (Provisional) visa – (subclass 162)
    5. Senior Executive Provisional visa – (subclass 161).
    6. Business Owner visa (Provisional) -(subclass 160)

  • 75% of applications processed in 20 months
  • 90% of applications processed in 30 months

2. Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (subclass 888)

The Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) Visa (Subclass 888) is a Permanent Residence Visa. After getting this Australian Business Visa you and your family members will get all the Australian Permanent Resident benefits.

  • Subclass 888 Business Innovation stream application processing time is 75% of applications in 10 months, 90% of applications in 11 months
  • Significant Investor stream application process time90% of applications in 9 months, 75% of applications in 7 months

Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) Visa Eligibility Requirements:

  • You should have investments within the Australian State or Territory for at least 4 years
  • You should have your Australian provisional visa and at least 2 out of the 4 years before preceding the application

3. Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188)

Business Innovation and Investment Provisional visa (subclass 188) allows you to do business and investment activity in Australia.

  • After you are nominated, you will be invited to apply for the Subclass 188 visa.

4. Business (Short Stay) visa (subclass 456)

The Business Short Stay visa (Subclass 456) allows you up to 3 months to do business activities, business-related meetings, business visits in Australia.

Business (Short Stay) Visa Processing time:

  • You submitted all the proper documents to the immigration office, then you will get the visa within 15 days
  • If you don’t have proper documents, it will take a longer time

Business (Short Stay) Visa Eligibility Requirements:

  • This visa is used fully for those who want to visit Australia for short business purposes
  • All passport holders are eligible to apply for this visa

5. Business Skills (Provisional) visa (subclass 160 and 165)

Business Skills Provisional visa (subclass 160 and 165) closed to most new applications.

Business Skills (Provisional) Visa Processing time:

  • Different types of applications take different time periods.

Business Skills (Provisional) Visa Eligibility requirements:

  • Subclass 160 visa accept for ownership and part-owner of an Australian business
  • It allows doing a new business or existing business in Australia
  • Subclass 165 visa accept a minimum of 3 years experience in business
  • You should be committed to doing business in Australia

6. Business Talent (Permanent) Visa (Subclass 132)

This Business Talent visa – subclass 132 allows successful business people to do new or existing business in Australia and stay permanently.

Business Talent (Permanent) Visa Processing time:

  • 75 % of applications take 30 months time period.
  • 90% of applications take 32 months time period.

Business Talent (Permanent) Visa Eligibility requirements:

  • This visa accepts you to establish your new or existing business in Australia.       
  • Before you can apply for the Subclass 132 visa, you must be nominated to apply for the territory or state government of Australia.

7. Business Investor (Residence) Visa (Subclass 893)

The sponsored Investor visa (subclass 893) visa allows you to 4 years to invest in Australia.

Business Investor (Residence) Visa Processing time:

It depending upon the applications.

Business Investor (Residence) Visa Eligibility requirements:

  • This visa allows doing business or investment activity in Australia.
  • You should live in Australia minimum of 2 years during the last 4 years as a Subclass 893 visa holder
